The prestigious CAT 2025 exam date is scheduled for 30 November 2025, leaving only three important months for targeting top B-schools. In 2024, 3.29 lakh candidates registered, but only 2.93 lakhs appeared for the examination, which highlights the pressure. The success rate is about 2%, with only 2 out of 100 applicants reach top institutions. The cat remains one of the most challenging entrance examinations in India.
With registration from 1 August to 13 September in 170 cities, candidates have a tight still important window. However, a well -designed three -month preparation plan, supported by constant effort and hard work, can greatly improve the obstacles of success.
Month 1: Build your base and start a full-lengthy Mox quickly
The first month should focus on strengthening basic things and understanding the structure of the examination. Try not to pursue high scores, not to chase high scores, but quantitative ability (QA), data interpretation and logical argument (DILR), and oral ability and understanding of reading (VARC) to identify 4 to 5 full-lengthy tests to identify strengths and weaknesses in the reading (VARC). Use these insights to guide your study plan.
Academically, focus on arithmetic, algebra and geometry mastery in QA. For DILR, work on basic puzzles and datasets to create logical thinking and data-handling skills. In the VARC, make the habit of daily reading daily with the facility of articles from editorial, opinion pieces and reliable sources to improve speed and understanding. Place an error log to monitor recurring mistakes and start creating a formula and shortcut sheet for quick reference. Ensure that your weekly plan pays balanced attention to all three classes, with daily modification to strengthen the concepts.
Month 2: Intensive practice and sectional focus
Once your foundation is set, the second month is about stability, targeted practice and time management. Solve subject-wise questions from each section and take a sectional test to improve speed and accuracy. Talk for 6 to 7 full-length fakes this month, ideally give them per week, and treat them with the severity of the actual exam.
Dedicate 3 to 4 concentrated hours per day, a mixture of unhappy problem-solution for deep understanding with a time-bound drill to handle pressure. After each fake, analyze your time allocation, frequent errors and accuracy. Keep updating your error log and see your notes again. This is also the time to refine your strategy-learn how to choose questions wisely, leave cleverly, and effectively manage the range of 40 minutes per section.
Month 3: Mock-driven strategy and final amendment
The previous month should be mock test-intensnel, with amendment in the form of priorities and strategy treatment. Real examination time and section boundaries, take 8 to 10 full-flavored fakes under realistic conditions. Focus on smart selection of questions, avoid time management, and negative marking.
Avoid starting new subjects. Instead, modify your formula sheet, strengthen your DILR set approach, and polish your VARC techniques. Repeatedly review your error log to eliminate recurring mistakes. Rotate the amendment to all classes to maintain balance, and dedicate each week after a detailed analysis after a mock test on a whole day.
Pay attention to your physical and mental welfare. Stick to a routine, relax enough, and include light exercise or mindfulness to manage stress. A cool and concentrated brain can promote more performance than the final-minute crumings.
conclusion
Cracking the cat in three months is challenging with a clear plan and frequent effort but is possible. Less 2% success rates can be intimidating, but targeted preparations work. Successful candidates focus on mastering the basic points, continuously practicing, taking Moex seriously and learning from mistakes.
These 90 days are about doing correctly correctly. Make time for modification, take care of your good, and keep your mind sharp. Success comes from constant, intelligent efforts rather than hard work. Stay stable, trust your plan, and give it your best.
