A Class 10 student allegedly committed suicide in the hostel of a government boarding school here, police said on Friday.
Paschimsharira police station in-charge Dhirendra Singh said that on Thursday night, Aditya Diwakar (15) hanged himself from the ceiling of his hostel room using a muffler.
He told that according to other students of the school, Diwakar had not performed well in the science exam, due to which he was under stress.
Police said the body has been sent for post-mortem and further investigation is underway.
