Thousands of people demonstrated in Mexico City against corruption, crime and lack of accountability. Gen Z started it and later the elders also joined. People angry over high profile killings and insecurity are demanding transparency and security from the government.
Demonstration in Mexico. On Saturday, a crowd of thousands of people suddenly gathered on the streets of Mexico City. There were placards in their hands, anger on their faces and demands for change in their voices. At the forefront of this demonstration were Gen-Z i.e. the youth born between the end of the 90s and 2010. These youth had organized a big demonstration against increasing crime, corruption and lack of accountability. The special thing was that later a large number of elders and supporters associated with the opposition also joined this protest. There was a huge fight between the police and the protesters on the streets of the capital. The police had to fire tear gas shells. Many videos have surfaced in which angry protesters are catching and beating policemen.
