Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol were the guests in the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. Sunny and Bobby talked about their hugely successful year in 2023, where Sunny’s Gadar 2 became a blockbuster, while Bobby’s antagonist role in Animal gained him widespread attention. The episode starts with Bobby reminiscing about the past year. He said in Hindi, “I am happy that my brother waited for 22 years after the mutiny. And in the same year it was my father’s first film. [Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani], and the role he played, I don’t think anyone else could have played it like that. Then my film became a big hit! I see the joy in my dad’s eyes today… I remember I came back a week later and dad was busy on Instagram, and he said: ‘Bob, people are crazy about you!’ I said, ‘I am your son! Do they have any chance?
‘Papa has been here since the 1960s…’
Sunny further said, ‘It has been many years, during this time a lot of things have happened. We were trying our best. Now after the marriage of my son and the arrival of my daughter, the atmosphere has completely changed. Dad has been here since the 1960s and we’ve seen a lot over the years. But what happened this time, the love we are getting from people… I didn’t know what was happening… it was as if God had suddenly revealed himself!’ During this, both Bobby and Sunny wiped tears from their eyes and smiled. The audience also clapped loudly for him.
In the episode, Sunny and Bobby also played silly drama, where Bobby guessed all the movies correctly. Bobby also repeated his iconic Jamal Kudu step with Sunil Grover in a segment.
