Rana Naidu Season 2: The shooting of the new season of Netflix’s Rana Naidu has finally begun. The OTT platform has shared a behind-the-scenes video of Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh shooting for season 2. The video also shows a new member in the cast. The new season also features Arjun Rampal alongside Rana and Venkatesh. The video shows Rana shooting a gun and Venkatesh on an ATV, before Arjun is shown holding a shotgun and shooting. Sharing it, Netflix’s official X (formerly Twitter) page wrote, “Rana Naidu Season 2 shooting has now begun #RanaNaiduOnNetflix.”
Fans were thrilled to see the new cast list, with one of them writing, “Arjun Rampal dude, now you will see the madness.” Another wrote, “Arjun Rampal I have played the role of Bhagwant Keshari in Villain season 2, because Rahul Sanghvi has done a great job in that role.”
Fans also shared their excitement for the new season, with one writing, “Eagerly waiting for this season, season 1 is a bit above average but the star cast and their performances are superb.”
Venkatesh on Rana Naidu
Season 1 of Rana Naidu shocked Telugu audiences as it saw Venkatesh shedding his ‘family man’ image. Speaking at an event last year, Venkatesh said, “Naga Naidu (his character) is no ordinary man. People from across the world are asking us to make a sequel. Youngsters like you liked it and are demanding a sequel, but not everyone thinks so. So this time, we will be more careful without diluting the mischief of this series. We don’t want to offend anyone. This time, it will be good.”

The first season of Rana Naidu, which is slated to release in 2023, was well received. The show is an official adaptation of the American crime drama Ray Donovan. It is directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma and produced by Sundar Aaron under the banner of Locomotive Global Inc. The show also stars Surveen Chawla, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee and Ashish Vidyarthi.
Rana Naidu is a 10 episode long series in which Rana plays the role of a ‘star fixer’, while Venkatesh plays his father. The series showcases the toxic and disruptive relationship between Rana and Naga, besides showing how Rana struggles to fix the mistakes of his clients. The written content was changed from the original show to suit Indian tastes. The show was released in multiple languages including Telugu and Hindi.
