Rakul Preet Singh is all set for her upcoming pan-India release, Indian 2. The actress recently held a Q&A session on Instagram ahead of the promotions of her film. Rakul Preet Singh gave a funny reply to the fan
Rakul posted a user’s question that read, “Ma’am shadi ka kya plan hai”. The Indian 2 actor took to her Instagram story and dropped a picture from her wedding with Jacky Bhagnani, in which the couple is holding hands and captioned it, “Ho gaya hai bhai! Kitni baar karooge?” For the unversed, Rakul and Jacky made their relationship official on Instagram in 2021. The two got married in February 2024 in a traditional ceremony in Goa.
Acting Career of Rakul Preet Singh
Rakul started her acting career with the Kannada romantic-drama Gilli (2009). Her first Bollywood film was Divya Kumar Khosla’s Yaariyan (2014) opposite Himansh Kohli. She has starred in many popular Tollywood and Kollywood films such as – Lokyam (2014), Pandaga Chesko (2015), Sarrainodu (2016), Dhruva (2016), Nannaku Prematho (2016), Rarandoi Veduka Chudham (2017), Spyder (2017), Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru (2017), and Ayalaan (2024). The actor’s popular Hindi films include De De Pyar De (2019), Attack (2022), Runway 34 (2022), Kattupuli (2022), Doctor G (2022) and Chatriwaali (2023).
Rakul Preet Singh’s upcoming projects
Rakul will next be seen in the remake of Meri Patni Ka, which also stars Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar alongside her. The film will be directed by Mudassar Aziz and will release in late 2024. She is also reprising her role of Ayesha Khurana in De De Pyaar De 2 starring Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan. The romantic-comedy is produced by Luv Ranjan and directed by Anshul Sharma. The sequel of De De Pyaar De is expected to hit the screens in May 2025.
Rakul’s film ‘Indian 2’, starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role, will release on July 12.
