Prince Harry told the BBC on Friday that he would “prefer a harmony” in a emotional interview after losing a legal battle about his security arrangements in Britain “with the royal family.
He touched BBC News in California, the king “wouldn’t talk to me because of this security goods”, but that he didn’t want to fight anymore and “didn’t know how much time my father had”.
“I can’t see a world in which I will bring my wife and children back to Britain at this point.”
He said, “There has been a lot of disagreement between me and some of my family,” he said, but now “forgive”.
Prince Harry said, “I will reconcile with my family. There is no point in continuing to fight in any way, life is precious.”
Expressing that he felt “late down”, Duke described his court loss as “classic establishment stitch-up” and accused him of playing a role in the decision to return his security at the royal house.
On whether he asked the king to intervene, Prince Harry said: “I never asked him to intervene – I asked him to move away from the way and allowed experts to do his work.”
What did the palace say in response?
After the interview, Buckingham Palace has issued a rare statement.
“All these issues have been repeatedly and carefully investigated by the courts,” said the Palace spokesperson said about the decision to snatch her security details, “reached the same conclusion on each occasion.”
The legal team argued that it was unfair to provide publicly funded security for Harry that they had stepped back from their royal responsibilities.
