Actor Satyaraj, who played a fan-psandida character Kattappa in the Bahubali film franchise, said on Sunday that meeting veteran screenwriter Salim Khan is a big opportunity for him to share screen space with his son Salman Khan in Alexander. At the trailer launch press conference of the film, the actor expressed his enthusiasm at the run-up at the event to meet Salim. “The happiest thing that has happened for me today is that I met Salim ji and Saab (Salman) to meet, ‘Papa, Kattaapa’. I am very happy because while I was studying in college, I knew that Salim-Jawed Saheb made a lot of (actor) heroes with his script.”
“So, this is a great opportunity. More than acting with Salman ji, this is a great opportunity to meet Salim ji,” Satyaraj told reporters. The actor thanked director AR Murugados for casting as opponents in Alexander.
“I have been in the fray for the last 47 years, and I have done around 258 films. I started my career as a very sarcastic villain. Later, I got an opportunity to become a hero, and I did 100 films as a hero,” he continued.
“Murugados Sir brought me back as one of the most sarcastic villains in this film. Earlier, when I did that kind of part, it turned like a trendsetter. I enjoyed working again in that style,” said Satyaraj. In the upcoming action thriller drama Alexander, Satyaraj plays the role of the main antagonist.
Alexander also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Anjini Dhawan and Sharman Joshi. Kajal said, “Being a part of such a huge film is very humble, an unprecedented star cast.
Sharman said that he is honored for sharing screen space with Salman. The actor said, “I would like to thank Salman sir for all the love that he gave me during the filmmaking.
Alexander, built by Sajid Nadidwala, is ready to hit theaters on 30 March.
