In a major verdict on the NEET-UG 2024 controversy, the Supreme Court has directed the National Testing Agency (NTA) to publish the marks obtained by students in the NEET-UG 2024 exam by Saturday afternoon, July 20. The Supreme Court was hearing petitions related to the controversy-ridden medical entrance exam held on May 5.
The Supreme Court said that the NEET-UG 2024 marks will be published “concealing the identity of the candidates”, adding that the results will be uploaded city-wise and centre-wise. The Supreme Court will hear the matter again on July 22, Monday.
“The petitioners have submitted that it would be appropriate if the results of NEET-UG 24 exams are published on the website so that there is some transparency… NTA should publish the results NEET-UG 24th exam “In order to protect the identity of the candidates, they have to apply city-wise and centre-wise on their website,” the Supreme Court ordered.
The Supreme Court had earlier ordered the testing agency to release the NEET-UG 2024 results by 5 pm tomorrow, July 19. On the request of the NTA, the Supreme Court gave the agency time till Saturday afternoon to publish the results.
