Taiwanese company Acer will launch mobile phones in India. The company will launch its first product in the market this year. Its price can be between 15 to 50 thousand.
New Delhi. To create a stir in the cheap smartphone market, a Taiwanese company is soon going to enter India. This giant laptop and PC manufacturing company has signed an agreement with India’s Indel Technology. Both the companies have announced their agreement on Thursday. It is believed that the company’s first product will be launched in the Indian market this year.
Domestic technology company Indkal Technologies has announced its entry into the smartphone market under a trademark licensing agreement with Taiwanese company Acer Inc. Acer’s laptops are already quite popular in the market. According to the company’s statement, under this agreement, Indkal will design, manufacture and distribute smartphones under the Acer brand in India.

When will it be launched and how much will it cost
According to the company’s announcement, Acer and Indkal are preparing to launch their first smartphone in the Indian market this year. The company believes that their products are being launched targeting the cheap smartphone market. They will compete with companies like Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo. The company has said that the price of their products will be between 15 to 50 thousand.
Taiwan’s technology will be made in India
Anand Dubey, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Indkal Technologies said, “With Acer smartphones, we are confident that Indian consumers will get a great experience. All smartphones of Acer brand will be designed and manufactured in India which is also a big achievement for Indkal.” He said that Acer brand smartphones will be made in India under the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.
User will get a new option
Z Zhou, Vice President (Global Strategic Alliances) at Acer Inc. said, “The goal of the Acer brand has been to eliminate the barriers between people and technology. Indcal Technologies will carry forward this mission in India by introducing a wide range of smartphones under the Acer brand. This will give consumers new options and enhance their experience in the Indian market.”
