Filmmaker-actor Farhan Akhtar has once again reiterated his views regarding Naseeruddin Shah’s decades-old criticism of his performance in the 2013 film. Fast forward to 2025, Farhan also said in the interview that if the situation was reversed, he would have preferred to address it personally.
“I would pick up a phone and ask that person to come home. I have seen your film and I felt these points were missing, and if you are passionate about acting, you should work on these things. It’s a way of communicating. But going to the press and saying this… I found it obnoxious. Besides, if he didn’t like it, that’s his opinion, and I can’t change it – he deserves it,” Farhan said.
While old comments have resurfaced in light of Farhan’s latest reaction, the actor appears to be unaffected by the renewed attention. Now his focus is on this 120 Bahadur – Rajneesh Ghai directed film based on the Battle of Rezang La – Farhan played the role of Major Shaitan Singh.
