Farah Khan reposted the video on her Instagram Stories and shared her excitement over making Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow dance to the Bollywood song.
Filmmaker Farah Khan recently brought the Bollywood flavor to Diwali celebrations in Canada. During the event, he joined Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow on stage and danced to a hit song from the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Om Shanti Om, much to the audience’s delight.

A video of Diwali celebration program in Toronto has surfaced on social media in which Farah is also participating in the celebration. In the clip, Farah is seen on stage making Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow dance to the song Om Shanti Om from her 2007 blockbuster of the same name. Deepika Padukone was with Shahrukh Khan in this film.
In the video, Farrah is seen encouraging Olivia Chow to dance, even showing her the hook step, after which Mayer joins her on stage and dances.
The video was posted on an Instagram account with the caption, “Only Farah Khan could get the Mayor of Toronto to dance Bollywood style. Such an iconic moment – Bollywood truly rules everywhere”.
Later, Farah reposted the video on her Instagram Stories, sharing her excitement about the Diwali celebration and the happy moments of the event.
While sharing the video, Farah wrote, “It’s not every day you get a chance to make the mayor dance (smiling emoji).”
Social media users were equally impressed and praised the fun and vibrant Bollywood twist that Farah brought to the Diwali celebrations. “No Olivia Chow dances? Never seen that,” one wrote, while another wrote, “Our mayor loves to dance.”
“Wow our mayor,” one shared. Another social media user said, “Farah can make anyone dance to her tune.” “Didn’t expect to see this on the internet today,” one wrote.
