New Delhi. If you are planning to buy a Hero motorcycle or scooter, this week could be the best time to do so. The company has announced an increase in ex-showroom prices of select models, which will be effective from July 1, 2024.
According to the company, the price may increase by up to Rs 1,500, with the increase varying depending on the model and variant. Hero MotoCorp said in a statement issued in the stock exchange listing that the prices are being increased to partially balance the impact of higher input costs.
These bikes showed their magic this year
The manufacturer, known for its dominance in commuter motorcycles, recently launched its biggest motorcycle, the Maverick 440 and the sporty commuter Xtreme 125R. Apart from this, the company is preparing to launch an updated version of its popular scooter, the Destiny 125 in the coming months.
The company registered a decline of 4.11 percent in total sales for May 2024, selling 4,98,123 units in May 2024 as compared to 5,19,474 units in May 2023. At the same time, domestic sales declined by 7 percent to 4,79,450 units from 5,08,309 last year.
However, exports registered a growth of 67.25 per cent, reaching 18,673 units last month as compared to 11,165 in May 2023. Of these, the Splendor range remained the best-selling product for the company, with 3,04,663 units sold last month.
