Bharat Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday said that he should resign and apologize amid a controversy over Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s comment on ‘Operation Sindoor’.

Condemning Mann’s comments, BJP’s Punjab spokesperson Pritpal Singh Baliwal said on the social media platform X: “Bhagwant Mann crosses all borders! Is it a nation, a husband?”
Operation Sindoor was a response to terrorists who killed Hindus after examining their religion, being used to identify women as a marker with vermilion, Baliawal also said.
Accusing Manas of being “zero sensitivity”, the BJP spokesperson criticized him for making fun of the Indian Army, insulting Veer Naris and turning the sacred symbols into jokes.

On 7 May, India started ‘Operation Sindoor’ in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack by Pakistan-posed terrorists on 22 April in which 26 people were killed.
Indian armed forces targeted nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
BJP’s national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari also said on Mann, “Shameful! Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s ridicule operation vermilion. Once again, the opposition shows its real face-insulting our armed forces and insulting a successful military campaign. If it is not anti-India in the soul, what is it?”
