Belgian actor Emily Dequen died at the age of 43 after the cancer battle, confirmed by his family.
Belgian actress Emily Dequen died of a rare cancer at a hospital outside Paris on Sunday, her family and her agent told AFP. She was 43 years old.
She revealed in October 2023 that she was suffering from adrenocortical carcinoma, a cancer of the adrenal gland.
Her first role in Rosetta by The Dearden Brothers started her career after winning the best actress at the Cannes Film Festival for her performance in the film, who also won the Golden Palm.
He mainly picked up a string of other awards in Showwew in French language films, including the 2009 film The Girl on the Train and 2012 drama our children.
She returned to the Cannes Film Festival in 2024 to mark the 25th anniversary of her victory with Dorden Brothers, and was released the same year to promote the English-language disaster film, Surviv.
This was the last film that she had already appeared, before the disease forced her to stop working.
