Ether Energy, one of the major electric two-wheeler manufacturers of India, has achieved a major milestone by opening more than 500 experience centers (ECS) across the country. The company has intensified its nationwide expansion, focusing a strong focus on Central and North India, adding 101 new centers over the last three months.
This expansion comes behind the growing demand for the Etheric electric scooters, especially the resetta, the brand’s first family-centric scooter. Commenting on the achievement, Ravneet Singh Fokela, Chief Business Officer of Ather Energy, said:
“Crossing the 500 experience centers is an important step in our development journey, as we continue to expand our presence in the markets. While South India remains our strongest basis, Rizta’s success has also helped us to expand rapid track in central and north India. This development is not limited to metros alone.”

Extension in new markets
Between June and August 2025, Ether added 101 new experience centers, more than half of them in mid and North India. The expansion includes cities like Agra (Uttar Pradesh), Jabalpur and Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh), Sundargarh (Odisha), Vadodara (Gujarat), and Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh).
In South India, where Ather already enjoys the leadership of the market, the brand continues to strengthen its appearance, while in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities also contains deeply in deeply, Calicat, Indore, Nashik, Coimbatore, Guntur, Haldawani, Satara, Kota, Kangra and Aizwal. Ether is also experimenting with several retail formats to suit various city profiles as well as scales its Ather Gold Service Network.

Strong regional appearance
States like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu now host more than 50 experience centers. At the city level, Bangalore moves forward with 18 ECS, followed by Pune and Hyderabad 13 each, with Delhi 9, and 8 with Mumbai and Chennai.
This retail development has been reflected in the performance of the market. Compared to 7.6% in Q1 FY25, the national market share of Ather in Q1 FY26 increased to 14.3%. Middle India saw the fastest growth, with a growth of 2.6X to 10.7% from a year to 10.7%, while South India remained a stronghold of Ather with a 22.8% stake.
Product Line and Future Schemes
The current portfolio of Ether includes 450 series, which is created for performance, and RISTA, which is aimed at the purpose of families focusing on comfort and safety. In its Community Day 2025, Ather unveiled its new EL forum for future scooters, introduced Atherstac 7.0 with voice–competent interaction and advanced safety alert, and rolled out new features such as Touchscreen upgrades for the infinite cruise and rizetta Z on 450 Apex.
On the manufacturing front, Ather currently operates two facilities in Hosur, Tamil Nadu – one for the vehicle assembly and the other for battery production. A third facility is under development in Bidkin, Aurik, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, which will increase its total annual production capacity to 1.42 million units.
