A natural emotional response to stress is anxiety but when it becomes old, it can interfere with daily life. This affects both the mind and the body, but experts claim that yoga can be unprecedentedly effective to manage anxiety by calming the mind, reducing stress hormones and promoting relaxation.
In an interview with HT lifestyle, Himalaya Siddha Akshar, the founder of the Akshar Yoga Center, shared, “The root cause of the stems of discomfort by digital overload, social and work pressure, poor sleep, sedentary lifestyle, processed food and restlessness.
He recommended some soft pose that can naturally relax your thoughts –
1. Balasana (extended baby currency)

It is a relaxing currency, restoration of regulated breathing calm conditions.
Posture
- Knee on the mat and sit on your heel.
- Breathe and lift arms above the head
- Exhale and keep your forehead on the floor
- Pelvis should rest on the heel
- Make sure your back is not hump.
2. Adomukhisanasana

It reduces anxiety and depression.
Posture
- Start with Padasthasana, move the legs backwards, raise the hips up, straighten your head and elbow and make a reversal ‘V’.
- Try to push your heel to the floor. Keep the position for 5 seconds and focus your eyes on your big toes.
- As you enter this posture, exhale, as you release from it.
3. Paschimottanasna (sitting forward)

It acts as a stress reliever
Posture
- Start with dandasana
- Extend your arms upwards and keep your spine standing.
- Exhale and empty your stomach, bend forward and bend your upper body on your lower body.
- Try to touch your knees with your nose.
- Hold the posture for 5 seconds.
4. Siddhohum kriya
This practice gives strength to your brain and makes it strong. This creates such energy in you that no matter what kind of faces you are facing. This process teaches you about your ability. There are 5 simple stages.

- Samasthithi- We first create a state which is a balanced state where we become neutral. Stand up directly from your side.
- Pranam -Fer Pranam for both scenes and invisible energies. Stay peacefully in the state. Observe the flow and outflow of the breath as you still remain calm and calm.
- Prayer- Extend your hands towards the sky. This is a state of call. Universal energy should listen to what is in your brain.
- Getting- Both your hands are out in this state. You either keep your eyes open or closed. You still stand with moving your hands forward.
- Gratitude- Now keep both your hands on your chest, this is a state of gratitude. Back to a balanced state with this state

It is a natural approach to anxiety management, regular practice enhances emotional power. Even a meaningful difference can be a meaningful difference between managing anxiety for a few minutes and increasing the overall quality of life.”
