New Delhi: When Ranbir Kapoor reached the first episode of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, he remembered his late father. The actor told that he had to be beaten by his father Rishi Kapoor for entering the temple wearing shoes. He reached the show with his sister and mother. Talking about Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor said, ‘If his father used to shout at someone, it meant that he liked that person.’
Ranbir Kapoor recalls, ‘I was beaten very hard only once. On Diwali Puja of RK Studio. Papa was very religious. I think I was eight or nine years old then. I had gone to the temple wearing slippers, so I had to wear slippers. According to a news in Hindustan Times, Ranbir further told that his mother Neetu used to beat him in his childhood. He once hit Ranbir with a dagger.

When Kapil Sharma asked Neetu Kapoor whether Ranbir has changed after marriage, she said that Ranbir has become a better person because he gives a lot of importance to relationships. Riddhima says that after the birth of daughter Raha, he has transformed into a loving and caring father.
Rishi Kapoor died at the age of 67. He was battling cancer. Ranbir Kapoor married Alia Bhatt in April 2022. They became parents of daughter Raha in November 2022.
