A NASA video highlights how people can enjoy the moon, Saturn and Mars lining up before dawn on May 3. On May 23, people can enjoy the view of the bright red star Antares on a full moon night. People living on the East Coast of the US may also see the Moon pass in front of Antares in a phenomenon called an occultation. The moon will rotate in its orbit, first hiding and then revealing Antares.
“On May 3, grab your morning coffee and head out before dawn to see the Moon, Saturn and Mars line up. On May 23, the full moon will appear close to the bright red star Antares. “If you’re on the East Coast of the US, you’ll see the moon pass in front of Antares in a phenomenon called an occultation,” NASA wrote in its post.

Meteor fall on 5th May
NASA also reported that the moon will rotate in its orbit, first hiding and then revealing Antares. The Earth passes through the orbit of Halley’s Comet twice every year, first in May and next in October. Which provides people with the opportunity to enjoy meteor showers as Halley’s path is a stream of small particles of rock and dust, which will bring the Eta Aquariids meteor shower to the night sky around May 5.
