The apps then use active listening AI technology to listen to people’s conversations through the phone’s microphone. The report also claims that not only small apps but also big companies like Facebook and Google are doing this.

Any smart device including the phone matches your real-time recorded conversation with their search history with the help of AI. After this, the user starts seeing advertisements related to that.

The report said that Cox Media Group (CMG), one of the biggest names in the media sector, has developed a technology that can monitor and analyse background chats using the microphones found in smartphones, smart TVs and other gadgets.
