New Delhi. Congress’s organization general secretary KC Venugopal on Saturday targeted the Modi government. He accused PM Modi of targeting his phone with the help of ‘malicious spyware’ and said that this ‘unconstitutional act’ and ‘violation of privacy’ will be opposed. Venugopal has also shared a screenshot of a message sent by Apple, which says, ‘You are being targeted with a spyware attack that is trying to affect the iPhone associated with your Apple ID.’
He posted on the social media platform ‘X’, “Thank you PM Modi for sending your favourite malicious spyware to my phone too! Apple has sent me a notification about this special gift from you.”
Venugopal alleged that the Modi government was acting in a ‘criminal and unconstitutional’ manner, going after political opponents and thus invading their privacy.

He said, the message of the Lok Sabha elections is that people reject any attack on the Constitution and the ‘fascist agenda of the BJP’. Venugopal said, ‘We will oppose this blatantly unconstitutional act and violation of our privacy.’
The message he shared said that Apple had previously sent him a notification on October 30, 2023… to inform him that another attack had been detected against his device.’
According to this message, ‘Apple has detected that you are being targeted by a spyware attack that is trying to remotely affect the iPhone associated with your Apple ID. This attack is likely targeting you in the context of who you are or what you do. Although it is never possible to have absolute certainty when detecting such attacks. Apple is confident in this warning. Please take it seriously.’

Mercenary spyware attackers are spending huge amounts of money to infiltrate the iPhones of certain people with such spyware. iPhone users of 98 countries including India are once again on their target. Apple has detected this attack and has sent warning mail to those users who could be potential victims of ‘Mercenary Spyware’ attack. This spyware is like Pegasus of Israel’s NSO Group.
Apple sent a warning mail to some Indian users on Wednesday night. Its subject reads – Alert: Apple has detected a targeted mercenary spyware attack on your iPhone. The mail read, ‘Apple has detected that you are being subjected to a ‘mercenary spyware’ attack, which is trying to remotely hack the iPhone associated with your Apple ID -xxx-. Please take this seriously.’
