‘Losing money comes with a lot of advice’
Vidyut said, “Recently when Krack released in theatres and didn’t do as well as expected – and this is the first time I have produced it – I lost a lot of money in it. For me, the most important thing was how do I deal with it. With losing money comes a lot of advice (from people) who have lost money in the past and from friends who really care about you, so it was important for me to break away from all the advice.”
‘I am debt free, it’s a miracle’
Vidyut said, “After the release of Krack, I joined a French circus, which was a friend’s circus; and spent about 14 days with these elite people… I came back home and sat down and thought ‘Okay, I have lost so many crores of rupees and I didn’t know I would ever lose it, so what to do?’ And in three months, I became debt-free. It’s a miracle.”
The actor revealed that when his friends asked him how he got out of debt, he simply said that he ‘didn’t stress about it’ and sat down to work out a plan to figure out his financial situation.
Vidyut worked with director Aditya Dutt in Crack, which also starred Nora Fatehi, Amy Jackson and Arjun Rampal. Produced by Vidyut and Abbas Sayyed, the film released in theatres on February 23, 2024. In April, it began streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
