The CBI has registered a case against unknown persons for compromising the sanctity of the UGC-NET examination. The CBI said that based on a complaint lodged by the Secretary of the Education Department, the case has been registered under Sections 120B (criminal conspiracy) and 420 (cheating) of the IPC.
NDTV Sources said the origin of the leak is not yet clear. The CBI will work closely with the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts competitive exams, for further investigation.

The report said that CBI officials may visit some of these centres as part of their investigation.
Meanwhile, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said the government will set up a high-level committee to examine the functioning of the NTA and recommend reforms.
“The government will form a high-level committee to look into reforms in the NTA. The committee will be expected to make recommendations to further improve the NTA, its structure, functioning, examination process, transparency and data security protocols. Zero-error testing is our commitment,” Pradhan said at a press conference.
