The National Testing Agency, NTA, will close the application correction window for UGC NET December 2024 on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Candidates who have submitted their applications and wish to make amendments in the same can do so on the official website of UGCNET. nta.ac.in.
Candidates should note here that the last date to make corrections on the application window is 11:59 PM.
The official notice from NTA reads, “Candidates are allowed to make corrections till 14th December 2024 (till 11:59 pm). Thereafter, no correction in details will be made by NTA under any circumstances. Additional fee (wherever applicable) will be paid by the concerned candidate through Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking or UPI.
It further states, “Since, this is a one-time facility given to the candidates to avoid any difficulty, candidates are advised to make the corrections carefully, as no further chance is given to the candidates for correction Will go.”
Notably, the registration for UGC NET December 2024 started on November 19 and ended on December 11, 2024.
The last date to pay the online application fee was December 12, 2024.
As per the official schedule, the exam is scheduled to be conducted from January 1 to January 19, 2025.

As informed by NTA, the examination city information slip and admit card will be released by NTA in due course of time.
UGC-NET is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian citizens for ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’, ‘appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.’ And ‘Admission into Ph.D. ‘Only’ in Indian universities and colleges.
UGC NET June re-exam result highlights
UGC NET June re-examination was held on 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, 30 August and 2, 3, 4 and 5 September. A total of 11,21,225 candidates had registered for the exam, but only 6 out of 84,224 appeared. Data shared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) showed that 4,37,001 candidates were absent in the re-examination.
A total of 4,970 candidates qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), 53,694 for Assistant Professor only and 1,12,070 for PhD admission only.
