The hostel where the victim lived has also been sealed, we are investigating the incident from all angles.” He said the police have found a suicide note, which states that she took the step due to personal and family reasons. Investigators familiar with the case told HT that the student wrote that she was under stress due to taking a loan. Based on the statement of security guard Neha Kumari, a case of unnatural death has been registered at the Bihta police station.
Investigators are particularly interested in finding out what prompted the student to take such an extreme step. Police plan to question the hostel warden and fellow students to gather clues, and they hope that the victim’s call records may shed light on the situation.
The students living in the Bihta NIT campus allege that the construction of the campus has not been completed yet and we have all been shifted here from Patna NIT. There is a lot of difficulty in studies as well. The students allege that the college administration is trying to suppress the matter and the students have been asked to live in the hostel located in Bihta without any proper facilities.
In another incident, an intermediate student committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling late Friday night in Barhat Mohalla of Jamui. The victim was a student of Sukardas High School. Talking to reporters, the victim’s father Upendra Singh said that his daughter took this step because her mother scolded her for using mobile instead of cooking food.
