MG Windsor has become a major model of the automaker in EV2024. The electric car launched with the Battery-A-A-Society (BAAS) program is now operated by the 38 kWh battery pack. However, with increasing demand and sales numbers, MG has now decided to bring the long -range version of EV, which will be powered by a large battery pack.
MG Windsor EV long-range variants are expected to hit the market for some time next month. This will be powered by a 50.6 kwh battery pack, which will allow the electric car to run up to 460 kilometers at a charge. This will put the upcoming version of Windsor EV with Mg ZS EV.
Powering the upcoming version of MG Windsor EV will be a front-wheel drivetrain, which will be able to churn 131.3 bhp peak power and maximum torque of 200 Nm. The upcoming version of MG Windsor EV is expected to run at a top speed of 175 kmph, which is actually similar to the current Windsor EV. The EV currently promises 20–100 percent charge in seven hours, while using DC fast charger, it can be kept on top 30 percent to 80 percent in 30 minutes.
With a large battery pack, a premium commanding of the upcoming long distance version of MG Windsor EV will come 4 lakhs on the top trim of the current model. In that case, the upcoming long version of Windsor EV directly challenges electric SUVs such as Tata Curvv. and Mahindra B6.
MG has tasted a very good success with Windsor EV in the Indian market within a short time after its launch. Now, the auto company aims to continue that speed and take advantage of the increasing demand for EV’s upcoming long -range versions.
