New Delhi. Honda Two-Wheelers India’s first electric scooter is going to hit the Indian market soon. The company is going to launch it in the domestic market on 27th November. It is being told that this scooter could be the Indian version of Honda CUVe which was recently presented at EICMA 2024. Now many important information has been revealed in its new teaser.
The special thing is that the top variant of the scooter is claimed to have a range of 104 kilometers. Besides, such a technology is available in it which will eliminate the hassle of charging the battery. Let us know what important information has come to light about this upcoming electric scooter.
Will be equipped with digital display and advanced features
Color digital dashboard will be seen in Honda electric scooter. Its teaser shows 100% charge status of the battery and a range of 104 km in ‘standard’ ride mode. ‘Sport’ ride mode is also visible on this dashboard, which can be found in the top variant. Apart from this, the scooter will have advanced features like call and music control, navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, trip meter and power gauge. However, a simple digital display can be given in lower-spec variants.
Scooter will run on direct drive motor
It has also been revealed in the teaser that this electric scooter of Honda will be equipped with direct drive motor, as is currently being used in Bajaj Chetak and Vida V1. However, information related to power output has not been revealed yet. It is expected that this scooter will be close to the power level of models like Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta and TVS iQube.
The scooter will have swappable battery technology
This upcoming electric scooter of Honda will be equipped with swappable battery. This means that the battery can be removed from the scooter and charged anywhere. The company is planning to build charging stations at more than 6,000 touchpoints for the scooter. Here, along with charging, the facility to swap the battery will be available. Scooter owners will be able to replace the down battery with a fully charged battery at these stations, reducing the charging time to “zero”.
Apart from this, the company will expand battery swapping network in petrol pumps, metro stations and other crowded areas. This initiative will prove helpful in making charging easier for electric vehicle users. It is being claimed in the news that Honda’s electric scooter will have a range of 104 Km on full charge.
