BSNL is stopping its 3G service in Bihar from 15th January i.e. today. Many users of the state will be affected by this. The company has upgraded its network from 3G to 4G to increase the quality of service.
New Delhi. BSNL is stopping one of its special services from today, January 15. This important decision has been taken at a time when the government telecom company is busy expanding its 4G network. This decision will affect lakhs of BSNL users. Actually, BSNL is upgrading its users from 4G to 3G, hence it is completely stopping the 3G service in Bihar today. The company had already asked its users to upgrade their SIM cards. No fee has been charged by the company for the new 4G SIM.
The government telecom company is going to start its 4G service across India by June 2025, which will provide better connectivity to crores of users across the country.

Deadline of 15 January for Bihar
BSNL has decided to completely stop its 3G service in Bihar Telecom Circle today i.e. by 15th January. The company has already completed the work of upgradation to 4G in many districts including the capital Patna. In the first phase, 3G services were stopped in areas like Motihari, Katihar, Khagaria and Munger. Now this bandh will be applicable in other districts of the state including Patna.

If you are in Bihar and are still using 3G SIM, then from today onwards data will stop working on this SIM. However, you can still make and receive calls through it. But will not be able to use the internet. For this you will have to upgrade your SIM to 4G. BSNL is not charging any fee for 4G/5G SIM. That means you are getting the new upgraded SIM for free. The user will need only a few important documents for this. You can get a new 4G upgrade SIM from any nearby telephone exchange or BSNL Customer Care.
