Tata Nexon EV will face tough competition.
New Delhi. Tata, Hyundai, Mahindra, Kia, MG are some of the auto brands that are selling electric cars in India. However, the name of the country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is not yet included in this list. But now your wait is about to end because work on Maruti’s first electric car eVX is going on at a fast pace. With its launch, Maruti will also join the list of electric four-wheeler companies in the country.
There are reports of Maruti’s first electric car eVX (Concept name) being launched later this year. Keeping in view the competition from other companies, it is going to equip its electric car with the latest features and better look and design. Besides, the company is also going to keep its price in such a way that it will help in establishing itself among the big cars present in the market.
ADAS can be found in Maruti eVX
There are also reports that the company’s upcoming electric SUV will be launched with ADAS. Toyota is also planning to launch an electric SUV like Maruti eVX. However, before Toyota, Maruti’s electric car will hit the market. Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) will also be provided in it. Based on the latest pictures, it is believed that the look of the production model of eVX will be slightly different from the concept. At the same time, its final model will be brought to the customers under some other name.
Maruti eVX design
Maruti can give a solid grill in its front instead of mesh grill, which will be the first statement of it being an electric SUV. Its size may be similar to the current Nexon EV. A radar system for ADAS can be fitted in the lower part of the grille. If this happens, it will become the first car of Maruti equipped with this advanced technology. A big Suzuki logo can be given in the front grille and a connecting tail light strip can be given on the boot door.
Battery range of Maruti eVX
Maruti’s upcoming electric car is expected to use 45kWh or 60kWh battery pack. Once fully charged, Maruti’s electric car will be capable of giving a range of about 550 kilometers. Its look and design will give a tough competition to electric SUVs like MG ZS EV. The company is manufacturing it completely in India.
