In this way a fake message reaches from thousands to lakhs and then crores. Meanwhile, another fake message is getting viral very fast on WhatsApp. In this message, it has been claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government is giving 3 months of mobile recharge to all Indian users for free. But the truth is that this is a fake message which is being circulated very fast.
Let us tell you that Press Information Bureau (PIB) keeps alerting people from time to time by issuing alerts, and once again PIB (#PIBFactCheck) has posted on X and called this claim fake.

The post reads, ‘This claim is fake, and the government is not running any such scheme in India at present.’ According to the photo posted by PIB Fact Check, the WhatsApp message claims to offer 3 months of free mobile recharge as part of the government’s scheme. A link is also given with this message.

It would not be wrong to say that the given link may redirect users to a spam website, and this may put the users’ data at risk.

At present, PIB has not given any information about how this spam works, but this has been happening often. This makes it clear that fraudsters find a way to hack and steal the user’s data as well as extract their sensitive banking details. So if you have also received any such message, then there is a dire need to be careful. Do not believe any such message nor make the mistake of forwarding it to anyone.
