Geeta sang approximately 1500 songs in her career.
When Lata Mangeshkar was surprised by Geeta Dutt’s singing
In the book ‘Lata Sur Gatha’ written by Yatindra Mishra, an incident between Lata Mangeshkar and Geeta Dutt has been told. Both of them together gave their voice in the song ‘Jawaani Ki Rail Chali Jaaye Re’ from the film ‘Shehnai’ and at the same time both the singers also met for the first time. When Lata ji heard Geeta Dutt’s voice for the first time, she became her fan.
