The Kannada film industry is shocked by the allegations that actor Darshan, his co-star Pavitra Gowda and their companions were involved in the murder of a man named Renukaswamy. Telugu actor Naga Shaurya has shown support to Darshan by dedicating an emotional note to him. Naga Shaurya calls Darshan ‘generous’, ‘kind’
Naga wrote in his Instagram post, “My condolences go out to the family of the deceased and I sincerely wish them strength during this difficult time. However, it is extremely disappointing to see people jumping to conclusions on this issue. Darshan Anna is not someone who would ever harm anyone, not even in his worst nightmares. Those who know him well can attest to his generosity, kind nature and unwavering commitment to helping others. He has always come forward to help those in need and has been a pillar of strength for many.”
He further wrote, “I cannot accept this news even in my deepest fears. I have faith in our justice system and I am confident that the truth will soon come out. We must also remember that another family is also suffering greatly. They deserve privacy and respect during this challenging time. I firmly believe that Anna, known for his integrity and compassion, will be proven innocent and the real culprit will be brought to justice.” Naga closed the comments on his post.
Darshan-Pavitra accused in Renukaswami murder case
Renukaswamy was murdered on June 10 after she allegedly sent abusive messages to Pavitra, which angered Darshan. While there were rumours that Pavitra was Darshan’s partner, the actor’s lawyer denied it and described them as friends. Darshan’s wife Vijayalakshmi and their son visited him in Bengaluru Central Jail a few days ago. They also urged fans to be patient and thanked them for their love and concern during this sensitive time.
Darshan made his acting debut in Kannada with Devara Maga. Apart from being an actor, he has also produced and distributed several Kannada films. His action-drama Devil: The Hero is still under production.
