The incident took place near the RTO office in Rohini around 6:30 am on Saturday when a PCR call alerted the police about a road accident.
A 19 -year -old Delhi University student was killed in a road accident in Rohini, working as a newspaper seller, an official said on Monday.
According to the police, the victim was studying graduation and distributed the newspaper for his education.
The incident took place near the RTO office in Rohini around 6:30 am on Saturday when a PCR call alerted the police about a road accident.
A senior police officer said, “On arrival, the teams scattered a broken bicycle with newspapers, but the victim was already rushed to BSA Hospital. He was declared dead.”
The office further said that the deceased was identified as Rishhal Singh, a resident of Budh Vihar in Delhi. He was a college student who worked as a newspaper distributor in the morning.
He said, “Initial investigation shows that an unknown vehicle killed him, causing his deadly injuries,” he said.
The police have registered an FIR and started investigating the case. Teams are scanning CCTV footage from the area to identify the vehicle and the driver.
