The South Asian University (SAU) has announced to start the application process for the 2025-26 academic session.
This announcement Prof. President of SAU. KK Aggarwal was done, who was informed in a press statement, confirmed the university’s commitment to impart world class education and expand educational opportunities in the South Asian region.
In particular, the SAU is undergoing an important phase of expansion, with a state-of-the-art and permanent complex of 100 acres in the state-warship. The organization up to 2022 was working on a temporary base at Akbar Bhavan.
In addition, by 2023, SAU only offered master and PhD programs, but in 2024–25 academic year, it took a big step by launching B.Tech. In computer science and engineering, the official release informed.
Continuing speed, the university has launched several new programs for the 2025–26 academic session, and has opened about 1,300 seats for on-campus programs in various subjects.
For example, B.Tech. In Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Business Systems and Intelligence, Cybercity and Data Science and AI provides demand specialization in demand specialization in AI.
In addition, SAU has launched B.Tech. In mathematics and computing, which is designed to equip with advanced computational and analytical skills required for emerging technical areas.
Not only this, for students receiving interdisciplinary education, the university has introduced integrated programs, providing a spontaneous transition from graduation to postgraduate studies. These include integrated BS-MS and Integrated BBA-MBA programs in interdisciplinary science.

SAU has also introduced a one -year master’s program for students who have completed a bachelor’s degree of four years. Through these programs, students are trained to enter the workforce with advanced qualifications in a short time frame.
Additionally, SAU has expanded its postgraduate offerings with the introduction of an executive MBA and an MCA for working professionals.
In addition, the university continues to offer M.Tech., MSC (Computer Science), MSC Biotechnology, MA Sociology, MA International Relations, MA Economics and LLM.
On the PhD front, SAU has presented an executive PhD program this year, designed for working professionals, which wants to pursue advanced research by continuing their career.
As per the release, a major milestone in SAU’s commitment to digital education is the launch of its virtual campus, which offers an online degree and certificate program. These programs maintain equal academic hardness, course standards and faculty expertise as their on-campus counterparts.
About admission:
As informed by SAU, admission to various programs will be conducted through the university’s own admission tests, as well as through recognized national level eligibility tests in SAARC countries.
For students in India, the score of CUET, JEE Mains, CAT, etc. will be considered.
Students from other SAARC countries will have the option to take tests through a safe, online examination, allowing them to participate from their home countries. For Indian students, university will set up several test centers across the country to ensure ease of access.
In addition, admissions for candidates of other SAARC countries will also be provided on the basis of merit in their qualification examinations, Director of SAU and Director of Examinations, Dr. Kavita Khanna informed.
The entrance tests will be held on 26 and 27 April 2025.
