To mark its 130th anniversary, Skoda has revealed a unique car that combines its heritage with contemporary innovation. A one-closed build called L&K 130, as a bicycle manufacturer in 1895, is a visionary change of the Skoda magnificent IV estate in a hybrid pickup truck for the early days of the company.
Designed by 28 students of Skoda Auto Vocational School, the Bispoke project founders Vlak Laurin and Vailav Clement, and is Skoda’s tenth “student car” design. Not only an exhibition of skills, it is a tribute to the distance that the brand has traveled-from producing a cycle to lead the charge on plug-in hybrids.
Design and concept
L&K 130 is a visual and functional restoration of magnificent wagons. To fit their new pickup profile, the students improved B-and C-Pillar and eliminated the rear cargo section. Highlight is a custom bike rack that is electrically planted on a detailed bed that tilts the bicycle at an angle of 35 degrees, allowing them to space even when the tailgate is closed. A third bicycle can be taken to the roof, which increases the node for two-wheeler heritage of the brand.
One of the most new changes is the rear rear passenger door, which rotates open and glides backwards – similar to a minivan – with twin locking points and handles. The interior has a personal seat, a cool box and a replaced three-seat rear bench with a portable speaker kit, adding comfort and functionality for external use.

The vehicle is also the first plug-in hybrid of Skoda designed by students on a great IV. The cabin has a radio transmitter and a tablet display that shows live footage from a camera at the back. Especially the rear window of size supports the changed silhouette, leading to a single appearance to L&C 130.
Visually, the vehicle has gold, red, black and white detailing that traditionally reminds of lorin and cleans badge rather than people with winged arrows of Skoda. The Rang Yojana pays tribute to the original identity of the brand, and it took more than 2,000 hours to achieve a hand -manufactured construction.
Public performance
The L&K 130 will be first seen publicly in the 112nd Tour Day France of the next month, where Skoda has been a long sponsor. Although this student-designed hybrid pickup truck will not be produced for sale, it is a compelling illustration of Skoda’s commitment that is to fuse the legacy with thinking outside the box. More functional than a show car, L&K is a poignant festival of heritage starting on 130 wheels – first two, then four.
