BJP leader Agnimitra Paul on Monday condemned the Mamata Banerjee -led government in West Bengal, for the arrest of Social Media’s influential person Sharmista Panoli, which was organized by the Kolkata Police to hurt the sentiments of a religious communalism.
Paul cited recent incidents in West Bengal and said that the TMC government would not leave anyone if they say “something against Muslims”. But no action will be taken. If this is another way, he claimed.
“We have recently seen a lot of positions from West Bengal to abuse after India, PM Modi, our goddess Maa Kamakhya, Operation Sindoor, but no action was taken. It is a clear message of Mamta government that if you are a Hindu or Muslim, who are saying anything against Muslims, then it will not be said, but it will not take any action, but it is not.
Agnimitra Paul Thanks Kangana Ranaut
The BJP leader of Bengal also thanked Kangana Ranaut and Delhi Bar Council for standing by Sharmisha Panoli, who was arrested by Kolkata Police last week from Gurugram.
“I thank Bar Council and Kangana Ranaut (for standing by Panoli). Every Indian, Hindu and nationalist Muslims should stand against this injustice,” he said.
The Bar Council of Delhi on Monday demanded immediate release to Sharmista Panoli to “maintain the scale of justice”.
Actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut also demanded Panoli’s release. “It is not good to disturb anyone in the name of law and order,” he said.
Agnimitra Paul urged Hindus to grow in West Bengal, saying that the state needs a “neutral government”.
“The Hindu of West Bengal also needs to rise; they are sleeping under the cloud of secularism. We need a neutral government. The state police today sees only one religion.”
The BJP leader further claimed that the police did not take any action against Anbrata Mondal, who recently came into fire against a police officer on a police officer to use a “derogatory and derogatory” language.
He said, “No action was taken against Anubrata Mondal, a TMC leader, who abused a police officer. Mamta Sarkar only works for Muslims, not for Hindus,” he said.
Kolkata Police arrested Sharmisha Panoli from Gurugram in Haryana on 30 May. She is a law student in Pune, Maharashtra. May 31, Panoli was produced before the Alipore Court in Kolkata, which sent him to judicial custody for 14 days.
