Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has started the registration process for the recruitment of 6180 technician posts. The last date to apply is July 28, 2025, 11:59 pm. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications at rrbapply.gov.in through the official recruitment portal.
A total of 6,180 vacancies will be filled through the recruitment drive, including 180 technician grade 1 signal post and 6,000 technician grade 3 posts. To fill the vacancies, RRB will select candidates through computer -based tests (CBT), document verification and a medical fitness test.
RRB Technician Recruitment 2025: Who can apply?
Educational qualification: For technician grade 3 roles, candidates must be passed 10th grade (SSLC/Matriculation) and complete a trading in trades such as ITI or Foundrman, Molder, Pattern Maker, or Fourger and Heat Trades.
Candidates applying for the status of Technician Grade 1 signal should have a BSc degree in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Instrumentation, or have a diploma or degree in engineering in related fields.
Age limit: The age limit for technician grade 1 signal posts is 18 to 33 years from July 1, 2025. While grade 3 roles, one must be between 18 and 30 years.

step 2: Click on the link ‘Apply online’ under CEN 02/2025.
STEP 3: To generate login ID, register using your email ID and mobile number.
step 4: Fill the application form with accurate individual, educational and business-specific details.
Step 5: Upload the required documents, pay the fee and submit the form. Save a copy for future reference.
RRB Technician Recruitment 2025: Application Fee
The application fee is Rs 250 for SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen, Disabled person (PWD), women, transgender persons, minorities and financially backward class candidates. This amount is fully refundable after participating in CBT. For other categories, the fee is Rs 500, after participating in CBT, it is worth Rs 400.
RRB Technician Recruitment 2025: Pay Description
The status of the Technician Grade 1 signal is classified under the pay level 5, with the initial monthly salary of Rs 29,200. In contrast, the role of Technician Grade 3 comes under the salary level 2 with a monthly salary of Rs 19,900. Additional allowances and benefits will be provided as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) guidelines.
