Bollywood celebs are turning heads in ethnic wear for Karva Chauth and are embracing all the classics from signature colors to accessories.
On the occasion of Karva Chauth, Bollywood celebrities turned to vibrant ethnic wear in classic festive colors like yellow and red. Raveena Tandon, Shilpa Shetty and Mira Rajput were seen wearing beautiful sarees and Anarkali suits. Bollywood’s signature glitz is prominent in all the looks, be it accessorized with exquisitely layered jewelery or the exquisite craftsmanship of her ensembles. Let’s take a closer look at each of her outfits.
1. Raveena Tandon
Raveena Tandon was looking very beautiful in mustard yellow saree. In this, heavy embroidery work was done on the border and pallu. In keeping with the elegant look, her hair was parted in the middle in a neat bun and was wrapped with a marigold gajra. For accessories, she chose layering to style her blue choker and mangalsutra. The blue choker added a beautiful pop of grounding shade to an otherwise bright ensemble.
2. Shilpa Shetty
Shipa Shetty wore a red Anarkali suit which had heavy embellishments. In this, magnificent embroidery work was done from the neckline to the sleeves along with the bodice. As for accessories, she also chose to layer her diamond jewelery. Tying the look together, Shilpa wore traditional bangles.
3. Mira Rajput
Mira Rajput chose a relatively minimalist look, but it is equally beautiful. She chose a deep red saree with light sequin embellishments on the border. However, the blouse stole the show, bringing multicolored glamor to the otherwise plain saree. She carried a potli bag, avoided neck jewelery and opted for classic jhumkas instead.
Learn something from the style books of these celebs. For your next festive ethnic look, you can choose a minimalist saree look like Meera, with a statement piece that puts the outfit together; In her case, it is the multicolored blouse. It also helps to break the monotony of monochrome in the outfit.
Another way to add visual interest and break up the uniform color palette is through a single, distinctive piece of jewellery. Raveena chose a showstopper choker piece with a centerpiece of Lord Ganesha.
However, if you want to go all out, take inspiration from Shilpa’s look for maximalist ethnic style as she chose a heavily embellished dress, stacked bangles, layered necklaces, earrings and a potli bag.
