Ram temple boom in this country, 10 day celebration, live telecast of Pran Pratishtha

Port Louis. There is tremendous enthusiasm across India for the inauguration of Ram Temple on 22 January. Governments of many states have made preparations to celebrate this day in a grand manner with a special holiday. There is enthusiasm among Hindus all over the world about Ram Temple. Hindu-dominated Mauritius is also all set to celebrate the historic Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha ceremony (Ram Mandir Inauguration) for the next ten days. Ramlala’s life is going to be consecrated on January 22 in the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. This country with a population of 12.6 lakh is making vigorous preparations to celebrate the inauguration of Ram Temple on a large scale.

For this, there are preparations to organize many programs in Mauritius including taking out a procession, lighting lamps, decorating important buildings, distributing Maha Prasad, organizing a grand program on 21 January and live telecasting it in government offices. More than 68 percent of the population of Mauritius is of Indian origin, who are commonly known as Indo-Mauritians. Prime Minister Praveen Kumar Jagunath accepted the request of the Mauritius Santan Dharam Mandir Mahasangh to give two hours leave to all government employees of Hindu faith at the time of Ram Lalla’s consecration. It was passed by the country’s cabinet. This step was also welcomed by the citizens of Mauritius.

Mauritius Sanatan Dharma Mandir Mahasangh, the country’s largest Hindu organization, has decided a road map for the next ten days. A letter has also been sent to all 347 temples in the country, sharing ideas to celebrate the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Mauritius. Speaking to CNN-News18, Mauritius Sanatan Dharma Mandir Mahasangh President Ghurbin Bhojraj said that everyone in Mauritius is in Diwali mood. The celebrations will begin from Makar Sankranti with Ramayan recitation in every street of Mauritius and a program will be organized on January 21, a day before the consecration ceremony, in which the Prime Minister of Mauritius will participate as the chief guest.

Live telecast all over Mauritius
For the first time in the history of Mauritius, all socio-cultural organizations like Hindu speaking, Marathi speaking, Hare Ram Hare Krishna groups etc. have come together to celebrate this historic occasion. Bhojraj also said that LCD screens would be installed at various junctions in Mauritius so that people could watch the live telecast from Ayodhya. A special ‘procession’ will also be taken out in the capital Port Louis. After which ‘Maha Aarti’ and ‘Maha Prasad’ will be distributed on 22 January. The consecration ceremony will be telecast live in all the offices of Mauritius on 22 January.
