What is anti sleep alarm?

Anti sleep alarm for drivers is an important safety device to avoid road accidents in case of falling asleep. This device monitors the driver’s condition through an advanced sensor. Actually, this sensor installed in the device detects changes in the position of the driver’s head and eyes and the initial signs of fatigue.

The sensor installed in this device detects when the driver is sleeping. For this, it tracks the movements of the head and eyes. When the device detects that the driver is sleeping, it starts sounding an alarm with vibration. The anti sleep alarm device is very easy to install. It can be attached to the steering wheel or dashboard.

Anti sleep device can also be tracked through the control room. As soon as the driver falls asleep, the LED light will start blinking, in night mode it starts blinking for 5 to 8 seconds and in day mode, it starts blinking for 6 to 9 seconds. After this the buzzer starts sounding and the siren starts sounding. In such a situation, the driver is immediately alerted.

Should be used in buses and trucks

Anti sleep alarm device is used in the car. However, whether people use it or not is a different matter. But, this device should definitely be used in passenger buses in which 70-80 people travel. When we talked to auto expert Vikrant Mohan about this, he said, “Anti-sleep devices should also be used in buses and trucks so that accidents involving passenger buses can be prevented.” He said that like cars, this device can also be used in buses.

According to a TOI report, to reduce road accidents in Uttar Pradesh, especially at night, the UP State Road Transport Corporation announced “anti sleep alarm device” to prevent its drivers from dozing off while driving. Was. After this, it is being used in some buses as an experiment.

Increasing road accidents in India

Road accidents are a big problem in India. Despite spending a lot of money on road infrastructure, road accidents are not decreasing. In 2022, a total of 460,000 road accidents occurred across the country. 168,491 people lost their lives in these accidents.

According to a report on road accidents by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, states and union territories recorded 461,312 incidents of road accidents in 2022, in which 443,366 people were injured. Compared to the year 2021, there was an increase of 11.9 percent in accidents, 9.4 percent in death rate and 15.3 percent increase in injured.
