About Puneeth Rajkumar’s legacy
For those unaware, Puneet is the youngest son of legendary actor Dr. Rajkumar. Actor Shiva Rajkumar is his brother. He was a well-known Kannada actor, having previously played many roles as both a lead actor and child artiste. He died at the age of 46 due to heart failure on 29 October 2021.
His last film was the 2021 film James, which was released posthumously. He also featured in an extended cameo as God in the 2022 film Lucky Man. A travel documentary titled Gandada Gudi was also released in 2022 after his death. To honor his legacy, the makers of Marigallu used an AI-generated version of him to portray a beloved king.
