A Ghaziabad property dealer whose body was found in a burning car in Nagla Nainsukh area was “strangled” to death by his friends, police said on Thursday, October 24. The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Yadav, resident of Nehru Nagar, Ghaziabad. Sanjay Yadav’s car was found in a burnt condition on October 22 near village Nagla Nainsukh of Dadhari police station area.
His two friends – Vishal Rajput and Jeet Chaudhary – have been arrested. The family members of the deceased had lodged a complaint with the police that Sanjay Yadav had left the house with his two friends. ADCP Greater Noida Ashok Kumar said, “A burnt Fortuner car was seen under Dadri police station area last night. Police officers reached the spot and the forensic team was also called. A burnt body was found inside the car which has been identified as Sanjay Yadav, a resident of Ghaziabad. The family of the deceased told that he had gone out with his two friends and there was some problem regarding the jewellery…”

According to police, Vishal Rajput and Jeet Chaudhary met Sanjay Yadav on Monday and all three drank beer. After serving him liquor, the duo strangulated the property dealer with a dog collar and looted some cash, two gold rings, a gold chain and a bracelet from him.
They later put her body in his Toyota Fortuner SUV and took it to an isolated area in Nagla Nainsukh. They poured petrol on his body and set it on fire. Police have recovered the missing jewelery from the accused.
“Vishal Rajput and Jeet Chaudhary caught him [Sanjay Yadav] drunk. They strangled him with a dog collar. They went to a deserted area to dispose of the body. After this they set fire to the SUV along with the dead body. The accused have been sent to jail and further investigation is underway,” Ashok Kumar, Additional DCP, Greater Noida, was quoted as saying.
