A check issued by the Principal of Himachal School is drawing attention to its unusual spelling, questioning the status of education.

The incident comes from Sirmaur in Himachal Pradesh, where Principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Ronga examined Rs 7,616. While the number was written correctly on the check, the words shocked everyone. Instead of appropriate words, read in the check: “Seven only six Harendra sixty rupees on Thursday.”

The post uploaded on 29 September has already seen more than 2,000 times. Soon, users began a reaction with jokes and fast comments.
For many people, the check turned into a source of endless jokes, but for the school system, it was a great embarrassment. Online people questioned how a principal could add “Thursday” for “Harendra” for “thousand” and “hundred”.
Some also asked what kind of lessons the students can expect when the students make such mistakes.
One person wrote, “Kalam’s mistake in autochorect system!”
Another said this, “A burden on the country and society, the master people of Himachal.”
Someone else commented, “Save reservation country.”
Shame for school
The reports later confirmed that the check was rejected by the bank, and the school had to release one right. But the loss was already done. The picture of the rejected check spread to social media, turned into a meme-worthy moment and increased the debate about the quality of education.
While some allegedly defended the principal, others argued that the spelling mistakes could occur with anyone, such errors take over weight when they are part of an official document with a signature and school stamp, especially when public money is involved.
