Bollywood couple Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa are known for giving fans great relationship goals with their love story. They met during a music video shoot and got close to each other. Now, in an interview with Humans of Bombay, she recalled her first funny impression about Rajkummar and confessed that she thought he was very scary. Recalling your first reaction
Recalling her first meeting with Rajkummar, Patralekha said that she never imagined her career would be so successful.
She said, “I had just seen LSD. His first film. About three days later, a school friend of mine called me, she said, ‘Can you make this video for me, it’s a music video, and I’m calling another actor called Rajkummar. He was just on LSD.’ I said, ‘Rukhsana, no, I’m not coming because I think he’s very scary and I was scared.’ She said, ‘Nothing will happen, we’ll send a car for you, and why don’t you take your sister with you?’ I said, ‘Okay, let’s see.'”
The actor further added, “I made my sister sit between me and Raj and they started chatting. I was feeling awkward because he was the scary guy in that movie. So, I was pinching him and telling him not to talk to him. And eventually, it got a little awkward, because the journey from Mumbai to Pune was also long. So, he was like, ‘Hey, what do you do?’ I said, ‘I have done these two ads’. And the moment I said this, I noticed something changed. And as the story goes, he had seen that particular ad and he was like, ‘I want to marry this girl’.”
She said that she fell in love with Rajkummar when she spent three days with him shooting a music video. She found him to be a different person, “who loves art and is passionate about his work”. And she could not stop herself from falling in love with him.
More about the couple
Rajkummar and Patralekhaa dated each other for over a decade and got married on November 15, 2021. Announcing the news on social media, he wrote, “Finally after 11 years of love, romance, friendship and fun, today I married everything I love, my soulmate, my best friend, my family. There is no greater joy for me today than to be called your husband @patralekhaa. Forever… and beyond.”
They have worked together on various projects, including the critically acclaimed film Citylights and the web series Bose: Dead/Alive.
