New Delhi. Ola is preparing to launch its first electric motorcycle (Ola Electric Motorcycle). Ola’s first electric bike will enter the Indian market in the year 2026. The company has planned to produce four electric bikes. Currently, the company is in a strong position with a 30 percent share in the electric two-wheeler market. Now the company wants to establish its hold in the e-bike segment by launching electric motorcycles in this segment.
Last year, Ola showcased four new bikes, which included Diamondhead, Adventure, Roadster and Cruiser design bikes.
Delivery timeline revealed
Ola Electric has filed draft papers for its initial public offering (IPO). The company has said that ‘We are planning to deliver these motorcycles in the first six months of 2026. “We are planning to expand our product portfolio along with motorcycles.”
Patent filed for design
Ola Electric has recently patented the design of its three motorcycles and a removable electric battery. People have given a great response by adopting Ola’s electric scooter. Ola has many electric scooters in the market, which hold 30 percent market share in the electric two-wheeler segment.
There is competition from these companies
Ola’s three electric scooters S1 Pro, S1 Air and S1 X are being sold in the Indian market. S1 X is available in the market with three different battery variants and range. Ola’s electric scooters compete with electric scooters from Bajaj Auto, TVS Motor and Ather. Ather has recently launched the family scooter Rizta in the market. In the bike segment, Ola will compete with many other companies including Oben, Hop, Okinawa, Revolt and Kabira.
Hero is also gearing up
Hero MotoCorp, one of India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturers, is also preparing to launch bikes in the electric segment. According to some reports, Hero MotoCorp may launch its first electric bike in the year 2025-26.
Six models of the Vida range can come in Hero’s line-up. Apart from this, four models of Hero can also be launched in the market under partnership with Zero Motors. Hero’s first model can come in the premium segment, which can be priced between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 5 lakh.
