National Medical Commission, NMC has directed medical colleges to submit details of students admitted to the first year of MBBS degree for the academic session 2024-25.
In the official notice dated October 29, 2024, medical colleges and institutions have been ordered to submit the necessary information through the online system NMC website nmc.org.in. The last date for submission of applications is November 8, 2024 till 12 midnight.

Additionally, while granting admissions to MBBS courses, medical colleges are required to ensure that admissions are made as per the NMC Act, 2019 and the following parameters:
- Entry is not allowed in excess of the sanctioned entry capacity.
- Eligibility criteria with respect to age and qualifying marks for different categories as per the Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 2024:
- Must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December in the year of admission to MBBS course.
- Must have passed the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2.
- One must qualify NEET-UG for admission to MBBS course.
Further, medical colleges are required to ensure that all admissions to courses covered under the scope of the NMC Act, 2019 are solely on the basis of merit and are done in a transparent and fair manner.
According to the letter, NMC has launched an online monitoring system to ensure that all MBBS admission criteria are in line and to promote transparency and accountability in medical education.

The official notice reads, “All medical colleges/institutions are asked to submit the requisite information through an online system which can be accessed through the website of the Commission.” [http://www.nmc.org.in]The college authorities are required to submit the details of all the students admitted for MBBS during the current academic year 2024-25. 7.
It said, “All medical colleges/institutions are required to submit the admission details of their students through this unique login ID by 12:00 noon on November 8, 2024, after which the colleges/institutions will be allowed to enter the details of the students. Will not be allowed. “UG Admission Monitoring Module” in the student admission system for the academic year 2024-25.
