Newlyweds Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have been the talk of the town. On June 23, the two lovebirds got married in the presence of family and friends. They also held a reception the same evening which was attended by several Bollywood stars. Now, the two have made their first public appearance after the wedding as they went on a dinner date with their close friends and relatives. Both Sonakshi and Zaheer chose a restaurant in Mumbai for their late outing on Wednesday evening. Sonakshi looked stunning in a red silk dress which she paired with heels and a shimmery white clutch bag. Meanwhile, Zaheer opted for a black leaf motif printed white shirt. Both Sonakshi and Zaheer posed for a few moments outside the restaurant and flashed big smiles. They were then seen entering the restaurant where they hugged a close relative. Zaheer was seen touching the feet of an elder relative.
Sonakshi and Zaheer opted for a civil marriage at their home on Sunday. They were joined by her father Shatrughan Sinha, mother Poonam Sinha and her parents. Shatrughan later thanked people on X (formerly Twitter) for their congratulatory messages and called it the ‘wedding of the century’. The couple wore ivory coloured outfits for the wedding, with Sonakshi later wearing a gold and red coloured saree while Zaheer opted for a white kurta with red underlay.

Sonakshi and Zaheer later hosted a party for their friends and family at a restaurant in Mumbai. The party was attended by Salman Khan, his first co-star Rekha, Kajol, Raveena Tandon and others.
She shared pictures of herself and Zaheer and wrote on Instagram, “What a day!!!! The love, the laughter, the togetherness, the excitement, the warmth, the support from each of our friends, family and team… it felt like the universe came together for two loving people and gave them exactly what they had always hoped, wished and prayed for. If this isn’t divine intervention… then we don’t know what is. We are both truly blessed to have each other and so much love protecting us.”
