Look out – a country angel just crashed!
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was held yesterday, October 15, in New York City, and it was every bit as prestigious as one could have expected. Of course, there was no dearth of supermodel names and chiseled bodies walking the ramp. And Neelam Gill was also there, sliding through the glass, turning heads with her swagger.
But who is she – and why is everyone losing their minds over her?
“Second year running, no discounts!!” – This is how Diet Paratha signed Neelam’s runway moment. The 30-year-old made her Victoria’s Secret debut last year in an icy blue look adorned with holographic wings. This time she swapped out her look for a glittery, dreamy soft pink lingerie set with a fairytopia-esque resemblance of feathers. Born in 1995 in Coventry, England, to Sikh grandparents from Punjab, Neelam started her modeling career at the age of 13. At the age of 18, she starred in a Burberry campaign for London Fashion Week, walked for Kanye West, Rohit Bal and Dior and modeled for Abercrombie & Fitch and L’Oréal Paris.
