Navratri 2025: The nine -day festival dedicated to Goddess Durga, Navratri celebrated the divine woman in her nine forms, collectively known as Navdurga. Each day is dedicated to a separate avatar, and devotees provide a specific enjoyment (sacred offering) to seek blessings for health, prosperity and spiritual welfare.

Day 1 – Mother Shellputry:
Devotees worship the mother Shailputri and offer pure desi ghee in the form of indulgence. It is believed that the blessings of the goddess provide a disease-free life.
Day 2 – Mother Brahmacharini:
On the second day, Chinese is offered to Goddess Brahmacharini, a symbol of longevity and a complete life. His blessing ensures a long life, which prevents untimely demise.
Day 3 – Mother Chandraghant:
The worship of Maa Chandraghant is three days, which is offered as an indulgence with milk-based desserts such as kheer, which represents happiness and relieves sorrow.
Day 4 – Maa Kushmanda:
Devotees offer Malpua, a milk-and-shine-based sweet dish, mother Kushmanda, to bless for increased intelligence and better decision making abilities.
Day 5 – Mother Skandamata:
On the fifth day, banana symbolizes good health and prosperity, which is presented as a garland Skandamata.
Day 6 – Mother Katyani:
Honey is introduced to Maa Katyani on the sixth day, and her blessings provide harmony and peace in life.
Day 7 – Mother Kalari:
Maa Kalatri is worshiped with jaggery in the form of indulgence, and her blessings are considered to protect devotees from evil and to protect them from internal strength.
Day 8 – Maa Mahagauri:
On the eighth day, coconut is offered to Maa Mahagauri, which symbolizes a new beginning. Kanya Puja is also traditionally performed on this day.
Day 9 – Mother Siddhidati:
On the ninth day, Navratri is concluded and mother Siddhidari is worshiped on this day, in which sesame seeds (TIL) are offered. As the goddess of Siddhis, she is considered to fulfill the wishes of the devotees.
