National Aeronautics and Space Administration- NASA launched the Cygnus spacecraft on August 4. But this spacecraft malfunctioned shortly after launch. The Cygnus cargo spacecraft was launched by Falcon 9.
Falcon 9 is a rocket launch vehicle. It has been designed and manufactured by SpaceX of America. Its specialty is that it can return to Earth from space and can be sent into space again. Falcon 9 took off at 11:02 am Eastern from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral, Florida, carrying Cygnus. The Cygnus spacecraft separated from the upper stage of the Falcon in Earth orbit about 15 minutes after takeoff. The launch was delayed by a day due to bad weather. There was no update about Cygnus from NASA or Northrop Grumman for several hours after separation from the spacecraft. However, some messages have definitely been received between ISS astronauts and mission controllers.
Cygnus is a spacecraft built by Northrop Grumman. It is delivering essential supplies, equipment and research material to the International Space Station (ISS). But the interruption in it has put the journey of Cygnus in danger.
#Cygnus The spacecraft separation is confirmed! The next task is the deployment of the solar arrays, which is expected to happen in about three hours. These solar arrays help power the spacecraft for its journey @space Station, pic.twitter.com/MsPMSCSNRQ
